This position is responsible for correctly identifying, collecting and issuing all materials as referenced on blueprints, as well as properly clock hours to the job. This position requires knowledge of all TAIT saws, rolling, finishing and lifting machinery. In addition, knowledge and understanding of all procedures involving the deck manufacturing process. Expectations will include the ability to read measuring tapes, blueprints, and to maintain and ensure quality parts. Problem identifying, and troubleshooting is an important part of this job.


Other essential duties include interfacing with other departments to solve problems, observing processes that support the wider business, Stock control, having an active role in site safety, and ensuring that, with an emphasis collaboration and teamwork, we always strive to execute on manufacturing to the highest possible standards. This is also a second shift position as well. 


  • Ability to comprehend / safely operate ALL area saws
  • Complete understanding of the deck manufacturing process and materials
  • Crane certifications and licenses and Safety practices
  • Develop skills to operate and comprehend Bending machines
  • Entry level skill set of CNC router operation
  • Identify quality concerns and notify the proper personnel
  • Ability to identify material requirements and tooling
  • Responsible for all inbound and outbound logistic requirements
  • Ensure parts are manufactured to desired tolerances per documentation


  • Degree: High school or trade school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year of Saw experience
  • Must be able to use measurement tools, callipers, tape measurer
  • Basic Computer skills / Job clocking / CNC List
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop and squat
  • Job requires pushing and pulling and overhead reach
