This role exists to breakdown demands for active open projects. Establish the PO and monitor pricing and delivery of the PO to co-ordinate with project budget and timeline. This role also works to maintain proper inventory levels based on system demands and input from Inventory Analysts. This person needs to have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships and fine communication. The person must also negotiate pricing and control inflation of costs using leverage such as purchasing power, global consolidation of supply chain etc. Interdepartmental and intercompany communication utilizing software and soft skills. This person must understand the components in their commodity base to understand and control quality levels and costs.


  • Efficiently and effectively be able to evaluate and process system demands to accurately generate and complete PO’s in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Intercompany alignment to project timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Communicate with inventory department to maintain and impact current and future inventory to align with global direction.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships to continually improve purchasing power within the supply chain.
  • Intercompany alignment with accounting to maintain financial direction including cashflow, inventory levels, terms, financial reconciliation, etc.
  • Ensure compliance to company and project guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Provide important supply chain feedback to other buyers, sourcing managers, design teams etc to keep up to date with overall supply chain and part changes, delays, or upgrades.


  • 2 – 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable certifications (CPP etc.) recommended but not required.
  • Strong negotiating skills and relationship management skills. (Interpersonal skills)
  • Strong Drive and dedication to task completion (Ambitious) (Work Ethic)

  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost
