Overview

The Hoist Mechanic Group Lead is responsible for overseeing, planning,and executing the daily activities of the Hoist dept and mechanics within their group.The Hoist Mechanic Group Lead will review the priorities for all daily work requirements and plan based on capacity, demand, and critical completion dates.

Responsibilities

Preparing,servicing, testing, and modifying hoists to ensure the assets can be delivered to a high standard ofquality, reliability, and compliance.
Be responsible for the satisfactory delivery ofhoiststo integration.
Participate in all return to stock/depopulation activities upon return of assets
Interpret technical drawings and manufacturer guidelines as they pertain to our fleet
Carry out inspections, maintenance, and any other required testing to achieve a ready to rent status
Interface with otherlead technicians and colleagues to accomplish goals.
Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practices.
Maintaining technical knowledge through training and mentorship.
Occasionally travel to complete site work as required by projects.
Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will improve the build quality or efficiency of TAIT assets.
Use Rentalworksor other asset management systems to keep current and accurate records.
Lead best practice in terms of workshop Health and Safety, take part in company Health and Safety meetings as required.
 
 

Qualifications

Relevant experience in an entertainment setting with a focus on rigging and automation

Knowledge of best practices and standards pertaining to the use of overhead equipment in entertainment.

Understanding of electromechanical power transmission systems

Computer proficiency. Experience in Epicor, RentalWorks, Autocad, Luicid Chart preferred.

Experience troubleshooting electricaland mechanicalsystems

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
