Overview

Based at Brilliant Stages in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and part of the TAIT Group.  We are currently looking for an Assets Mechanical Lead.

 

Position Purpose

 

To maintain the highest standards in all aspects of Assets mechanical equipment. To test and pre-commission mechanical equipment as requested and to lead the Assets technicians in terms of scheduling and priorities.

Responsibilities

Main Outcomes of the Position

  • To deliver all mechanicalelementssafely and professionally.
  • To regularly reportAssetstatus, conflict resolutions, asset shortages, forecasting of costs etc. to Head of Asset Operations UK.

Expectations

  • Work with UK Asset Operations, Assets Technical Manager and TAIT Projects team on feasibility and equipment selection
  • Supervise and lead all assets mechanical staff
  • Build relationships with, acquire quotes and communicate with suppliers as required
  • Identify and forecast shortfalls and resource gaps
  • General monitoring of stock levels (workshop) / location (Rentalworks) / allocation (jobs)
  • Responsibility for delivering and scheduling of equipment maintenance and servicing
  • Schedule staffing as required
  • Oversee Assets mechanical processes and seek continuous improvements.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge through training and mentorship.
  • Be responsible for maintaining tools, work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • As required, install, commission, de-commission and operate the automation equipment on site
  • Collaborate and communicate with the Integration team.
  • Lead best practice in terms of workshop QHSE, take part in company QHSEmeetings as required.

Qualifications

Foundation / Position Requirements:

  • A good all-round general education.
  • Proven team leadership.oKnowledge of hand tools, workshop machinery, and the importance of accurate record keeping.
  • Able to read mechanical schematic drawings
  • Experience in mechanical/machinery servicing and maintenance
  • Experience in stage engineering -servicing, maintenance and installation.
  • Experience of working in technical entertainment supply or equipment rentals
  • Good knowledge inmechatronictheory
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Good aptitude for mechanical fault finding
  • Understanding of electrical fault finding
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in a workshop environment and on site
