Based at either our offices in Neasden, London or Haverhill, Suffolk we are looking for a CAD Manager to plan, organise and manage the CAD systems for the Mechanical Design department.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in CAD Vault Systems.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence.
  • Enhance BOM generation and integration.
  • Develop and maintain drawing borders.
  • Product management – creating and maintaining product cut sheets.
  • Manage and plan CAD software systems, including version upgrade testing and roll-outs with the IT Department.
  • CAD work as and when the needs may arise.
  • Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Engineering Lead regarding technical issues, training and other CAD system issues.
  • Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
  • Recommend best practices for solutions to meet customer business needs.

Qualifications

  • Vault Management CAD Systems
  • General Education to at least GCSE Level including maths
  • Excellent CAD 3D knowledge
  • Engineering knowledge
  • Understand technical drawings
  • 5+ years in a similar environment
  • Experience with manufacturing and production
  • Working experience of responsibility for Vault Systems
  • Experience with SmarTeam
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good team working skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work in the UK
