Do you  have experience within the theatre, stage or live events industry? We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of projects being managed and delegate them effectively within the team – ensure that all project budgets are accurate and reviewed regularly and that projects are delivered to time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

  • Managing and leading a team of project managers, project engineers and project administrators.
  • Responsible for the management of all new and existing projects and ensure that they are managed and executed in a timely, cost-efficient and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless client service.
  • Coach and mentor the team to be highly effective in their roles; identifying training and skills gaps and proactively work towards developing the team through on the job training and external training.
  • Prepare a strategic plan of how individual projects are to be executed by working with the assigned project manager, sales team and directors, as well as clients by obtaining specific requirements and liaising with internal departments regarding delivery and time frames in line with budgets.
  • Verify the project has been budgeted correctly and do any necessary follow up for own projects; direct other project managers to do so independently if there are any discrepancies in costing with the relevant sales and directors. Revise costs in line with client request for changes and communicate changes to affected parties internally and externally.
  • Regular contact with site to ensure that work is managed and progressed according to plan and to act on feedback from site and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Visits to site and check progress as and when required.
  • Ensure that the Operations Director are kept informed at all times regarding any changes or developments.
  • Keep PlanIt up to date and ensure the rest of the team are also in compliance with this.
  • Manage project cash flow ensuring purchasing is managed to limit cash outflow and income is realised as fast as possible.
  • Follow existing and contribute to refining ISO processes.

Qualifications

Qualifiactions

  • A Degree preferably in Engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • A good understanding of the stage and/or spectaculars industry
  • Budget control
  • Working as a project manager
  • Proven record in staff line management
  • Possess excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of MS Office
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
