    Responsibilities

    POSITION MISSION:

    The mission of this role is to work collaboratively within a team of artists to produce a variety of painted and sculpted finishes to meet client needs. Demonstrating the ability to create high end finishes with both traditional and not traditional materials.

     

     

    POSITION OUTCOMES:

    • Execute painted or sculptural elements with-in budgeted hours
    • Prototype new materials and processes
    • Develop treatments with an eye to balancing quality with efficiency. Treatments should be well documented and repeatable processes, that are easily communicated to the rest of the team.
    • Build strong collaborative relationships with other artists, fostering a sense of team.
    • Collaborate effectively and efficiently with other fabrication groups, and design.

    • Possess a wide knowledge of materials/substrates such as fabrics, plastics, metals, wood, and foam
    • Ability to work from reference images and materials

    • Maintain a tidy work space
    • Able to understand, and utilize proper PPE
    • Work safely and efficiently in a shop environment

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Degree: BFA, BA or equivalent professional experience
