    This role is part of a team of people who are dedicated to helping integrators on projects as competent hands. The hallmarks of the job are being a hard worker and knowledgeable about entertainment technology, not necessarily being experienced or skilled in a trade. This role is more stagehand than fabricator. Integration Technician is a somewhat temporary position, eventually leading to a full-time role at TAIT or as crew on a show.


    Position Outcomes:


        2 weeks – onboarding complete; up to speed on TAIT basics


        1 month – working on projects successfully; sit-down review with integrators


    o Stagehand/union tasks- building decks, loading trucks, basic carpentry


    o Project organization tasks- labels, paperwork, organizing equipment


    o Fabrication assistance- assembly, hand/power tools tasks, parts gathering


        2 months – TAIT specific skills review


    o Basic Navigator operation


    o Deck building and simple deck repair


    o Analyzing TAIT schematics and drawing packages


        3 months – formal review with management


    o Know TAIT project process / SOP


    o Pull together small, stock assets show


        6 months – move into next position


    Position Competencies:


        Hard worker, enthusiastic, even with long hours (no “lead shoes”), willing to jump into help


        Excited about TAIT projects, future growth potential, wants to learn and grow in the industry


        Can make smart decisions, work independently


        Understanding of live entertainment culture (show must go on, artistic scope changes)


        Technical mindset (troubleshooting, problem solving, breaking down large problems)




    Position Requirements: Degree: Theater

    # Years of Experience: 1-3 years (university experience ok)
