    Responsibilities

    Overview

    Supervise, schedule and coordinate activities in a specific line/area to meet quality goals and production objectives. Is responsible for ensuring that all work performed by employees is done safely, efficiently, and accurately.

     

    Essential Responsibilities

     

    • Plan, coordinate and advise line/area employees of work to be completed daily.
    • Team player with the ability to work and lead a diverse group of individuals.
    • Generate and communicate goals of a project to a group of employees
    • Work independently with no direct supervision
    • Give verbal and written reports as needed to Custom Fabrication Supervisor, Director of Operations. Submit appropriate documentation and communication when requested to effectively relay project and shop status.
    • Layout and fabricate metal weldments and assemblies
    • Ability to perform grinding, beveling, and assembly of stock parts
    • Manage and or determine budget hours needed based on drawings and discussion with designers and estimators.
    • Set and change priorities based on available resources

    Qualifications

     

    Critical Competencies:

    • Familiar with basic Epicor usage for group needs
    • Familiar with Slack usage for group communication
    • Effectively communicate group needs/updates in meetings
    • Ability to assist with setup of welding equipment
    • Perform advanced TIG welding on aluminum and steel using thumb control
    • Follow and enforce safety and quality guidelines and standards
    • Familiarity with MIG welding
    • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly
    • Willing to train other group members in daily fabrication tasks

    Degree: N/A

    # Years of Experience: N/A

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • One Year Instructional Training
    • One Year practical welding experience
    • Knowledge of welding symbols
    • Must have two (2) years of experience in either or both:

                ◦GTAW – Gas Tungsten ARC Weld

                ◦SMAW – Shielded Metal Arc Weld
