    The Controls Fabricator’s primary role is to assemble, wire, and test industrial and entertainment electrical components, panels, and enclosures.  They will be required to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. Based on these schematics, they will utilize the required components, equipment, and tools to affect assembly and labeling following industry best practices and meeting all applicable codes and regulations. The controls fabricator will also assist in the documentation of any required changes (“red lines”) and ensure these changes are issued to the appropriate individual. This position will also be responsible for assisting in implementing all quality control processes pertaining to the overall product functionality and ensuring products and elements meet defined expectations.

    Responsibilities

    • Use and maintain mechanical and electrical tools and equipment to assemble, wire, label, and test components
    • Troubleshoot unidentified issues and problems
    • Implement and understand all quality control processes assigned
    • Identify, document and communicate all quality control and design flaw issues
    • Liaise with Designer and Product Manager on Product improvements as needed
    • Understand all safety related requirements & practices
    • Adhere to standard fabrication, assembly, and test procedures and checklists
    • Ensures all labeling requirements are executed and correct

    Qualifications

    • Understands basic electrical theory including control and power circuits
    • Understands the general concepts required for fabrication, assembly, wiring, labeling, and testing
    • 3+ years of Industry related fabrication experience
    • Must possess a thorough attention to detail
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of entertainment and industrial control and power equipment
    • Basic understanding of design principles and practices
    • Basic understanding of Industry safety codes & practices
    • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
