    Water Spider is a person in a production environment who is tasked with keeping work stations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of productivity.

     

    The Water Spider will place the needs of their group as top priority. This is a key position that will be responsible for providing materials and parts to their groups, so they do not need to leave their work stations, so the group members can focus on the task at hand.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Group Leads, team mates, and Production Control regarding the production schedule and materials/parts needed for that day
    • Verify and ensure inventory accuracy, including accurate part identification labels and quantities.
    • Deliver/stock to work stations and replenish stock to meet production schedule
    • Maintain accurate stock levels, inventories, and locations
    • Maintain communication with Group Leads, Machine Shop, Shipping & Receiving, Wash & Paint, and Purchasing
    • May be asked to assist with simple mechanical assembles
    • Recommend any changes in schedules to the team
    • Maintains quality and productivity standards
    • Ensure the work environment is clean and safe
    • Any additional worked assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • 2-5 years’ experience in an inventory controls or process flow of a manufacturing environment
    • 1-2 years of experience with Windows Operating system including Microsoft Office
    • ERP experience required (Epicor preferred)
    • Ability to balance current workload while planning ahead to coordinate future tasts for the team
    • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
    • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
    • Work independently and as a team to fulfill department goals or objectives.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
