  • Overview

    The Senior Support Integrator seeks to provide fast and useful technical assistance on complex, large entertainment automation systems. Additionally, the Senior Support Integrator travels to customer sites to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain equipment installations. This also requires the Senior Support Integrator to display strong customer service skills in advising the customer in technical problems and proposing solutions. Finally, the Senior Support Integrator mentors and trains other members of the Service and Support Department. This position works independently with little direct supervision.

    Responsibilities

    • Work within a global team of technical support professionals delivering best in industry support services to our clients.
    • Provide remote support to clients as part of the 24/7 support system rotation
    • Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair, and commission automation system components, software, logic, and front end systems following best practices and safety protocols
    • Work with other company departments to improve and optimize the quality of TAIT solutions
    • Perform any necessary acceptance tests and complete testing documentation
    • Innovate and develop new ways to achieve high levels of customer loyalty
    • Work with other team members to improve departmental efficiency in delivering support services
    • Provide feedback from customers on product quality and features
    • Work with department leadership to suggest improvements and upgrades to clients
    • Provide in depth technical training to other team members and customers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college in an engineering discipline or technical theatre
    • More than 15 years experience working with complex, large entertainment automation systems
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of entertainment/industrial automation technology and equipment
      • Complex motion control – e.g. synchronized axes, cams, and 2D/3D motion
      • Networking and low level network troubleshooting
      • Motors – asynchronous AC, synchronous AC, and DC
      • Fluid power – hydraulic and pneumatic
      • Power circuits – distribution, protection, and control
      • Control circuits – safety and control
    • Strong knowledge of industrial programming languages (IEC 61131)
    • High level understanding of industry safety codes & practices
    • Extensive experience with Stage Technologies motion control systems including S120 and Masterdrive architectures
    • Extensive experience with TAIT Navigator motion and show control system
